The Adult Learning Division is concerned with the needs of adult learners who do not have a high school diploma. Adult Learning also focuses on life-long learning for all adults. This division deals with issues of instructional practices, family literacy, and workforce education.
Clinical Research and Practice
The Clinical Division is involved with University Reading Clinics and tutoring programs, and is interested in exploring the reading process and its application to clinical, diagnostic, instructional, and administrative elements.
College Reading
The College Reading Division focuses on developmental college reading--practical reading and study skills, as well as methods for teaching college students at all achievement levels.
Teacher Education
The Teacher Education Division is interested in teacher education practices at the undergraduate and graduate levels, promoting improvement of preservice and inservice programs for literacy development.
